| Admission procedure
Pre-admission information (brochure and details of the website)
and the opportunity to view the home, are available to ensure
residents and their families can make an informed choice. A
home or hospital visit is then undertaken to provide a
comprehensive pre-admission assessment. This is followed by
a trial period at Camplehaye to enable residents to adapt to
their new environment.
With the help and co-operation of the resident and their family,
the manager and her care team will assess, plan and evaluate
the level of care needed for each resident and a care plan will
be formulated The care plan will be monitored and adjusted
regularly to ensure
the right level of care is given at all times.
The care teams are trained to offer full personal, physical and
emotional support without being intrusive. All our care team
members are trained to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in care and are led
by a registered manager. Our senior carers are trained in
accordance with the ‘Boots monitored dosage system’ and are
able to administer medicines as instructed by GPs.
Camplehaye residents will be registered with the GPs at
surgeries
in Tavistock (Abbey, Wharfside and Stannary) and are
supported by district nurses who visit us as required.
